School Stereotypes Classes

Hey there Scribes! We had Jacob message us and needed help creating some classes. He wanted to do a Jason based Halloween One-shot with his group and wanted the classes to be based on school cliques. It took a bit of time to come up with ideas that were original because almost everything I could think of was already done before. But, we pulled our heads together and come up with some abilities for each class. Let us know what you think!

Cheerleader

A charismatic class based on magic to stir up a crowd! They’re really loud and have a lot of pep in their step. They’re able to get a crowd going just by saying a few cheers. For this class, use the premade Bard class. But, sub out these abilities.

Inspiration (3/day)

Using loud cheers and flashing flips, cheerleaders add inspiration to any crowd. It’s almost the same as bardic inspiration, but instead of a d6, you use a d4. Roll a d4 and then someone can add that to any roll. But, you can stack these. So, someone can have up to three extra die to add to the rolls of their choice.

Gymnastics (1/day)

Cheerleaders are nimble and flexible being able to do all sorts fo flips. In order to do these acrobatics, they need to be physically strong. Once a day, they can roll a d6 and add it to a person’s AC. It lasts only for 3 hours and can be split between different people.

Ra Ra Boom (1/day)

Using their joyful cheers, they can allow you to reroll any failed roll.

Jock

A class-based on strength, jocks have focused all their training on perfecting their form in their sport. This class is based on Barbarian, with a bit of a Fighter.

Work out (Based on Rage)

From working out so often, Jocks are able to use their brute strength to help out in combat. If doesn’t matter if you have heavy armor on it not. You gain advantage on Strength checks and saving throws. You can add the bonus in the Barbarian chart when you make melee checks. You have resistance to bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage.

Protein Shake (1/day)

Since they use a lot of drinks to keep up their electrolytes, they are able to use this ability to add a +2 to their AC for 5 hours.

Scholarship

Based on the Fighter, every Jock has a stylized way of fighting. Pick one of the fighting styles in the Fighter section.

Party Animal

These people know how to party and they like to party hard! This class is based on the Drunken Master Monk subclass.

Bar Fight (3/day)

Pick yourself or any person within sight to add a d4 to any damage roll they do.

Stumble (3/day)

You have the ability to use the Tipsy Sway ability.

Drunken Rage

The drunker they get, the more their fighting becomes reckless. When they do Flurry of Blows, they can add an additional attack to it. But, at the same time, they have a disadvantage on dodging or dexterity based moves.

Nerds

This class is the smartest out of all the classes. They are a well of knowledge, ranging from books to spells on almost any subject. This class is based on knowledge cleric.

Spells

You gain access to the knowledge domain spells.

Speed reader

If you find a book or scroll of a language you don’t know, you can study it for two days and be knowledgable enough of the language to understand it.

Jack of all trades (1/day)

As an action, you can use your channel divinity to tap into some knowledge to learn a trade or skill for 10 minutes. You can add your proficiency bonus to the trade or skill.

The original idea goes to Jacob Michael Laverne Longwell. Revised and edited by us, Bards of Lore. We take no credit in creating the original idea of the classes!
